To guarantee that our service meets quality standards, we have to rely on external suppliers for services such as the transport of goods. The role of carriers is fundamental in the supply chain for two basic reasons. First, because they make it possible for the product to reach the point of sale. And second, because timings depend on them to a degree and, with them, customer satisfaction.

Access to the yard management system

At Slot’s Eyes we offer our customers the option of opening the software up to external carriers: because we know they are part of the team you work with every day. To achieve this, we developed different options that make their interaction as smooth as possible, adding value to their work too; and, on the other hand, limiting access to information in order to honour internal confidentiality commitments.

Options for third-party access

Developing an internal management tool that allows external suppliers to interact with it has been possible thanks to feedback from our customers about the sector’s needs. As a result, Slot’s Eyes now offers a number of possibilities.

Customised access. Every supplier plays a role in our organisation and therefore needs particular access rights. Our software makes it possible to limit carrier access by user as well as by warehouse, dock or time slot.

Booking information. To add value for suppliers too, they have access to and notifications about changes to bookings. This way they can see whether the planned operations are confirmed, rejected or have been amended.

Editing bookings. Since day-to-day operations can throw up all sorts of particularities, external carriers can also edit bookings and the information they contain, such as the number of pallets.

Sharing a booking link. Through a hyperlink, carriers who subcontract a shipment to a third party can delegate access so that particular booking can be made.
