What is the DeCA and when does it become mandatory?
It is the Documento electrónico de Control Administrativo: the digital, mandatory version of the control document for national road freight transport in Spain. Mandatory from 5 October 2026.
Which transports does it apply to?
Domestic ones (origin and destination in Spain), cabotage included. International transport carries on with the CMR.
Do I have to fill it in entirely?
No: it fills itself from your booking; you only complete what is missing.
How is it verified on the road?
With the QR code on the PDF, which opens a public https:// URL with no login, available throughout the inspection.
Is a signature needed?
The rules do not require one. Slot’s Eyes offers it anyway from the driver’s app as added value.
